Yesterday I went to my second life drawing session at Host.

2 min warmup. Way too idealised, feels cartoon-y.

5 min warmup. Hard pose to hold!

10 min. Proportions are too exaggerated, but I like the continuous line.

20 minute. Interesting light source.

20 minute. Probably one of the most foreshortened figures I’ve ever tried to draw.

20 minute. Frustrated with the head/face, but like the overall effect of the line.

short haircut

A few weeks ago, I got my hair chopped off by Dean at the Garden Room on Francis Road in Leyton. This is it left to air dry with a little bit of product in. Pleased!

charcoal in Wanstead Flats

There was a really bad fire in Wanstead Flats in July. We walked past the charred area today, all of the trees are sticks of charcoal. There are a few tiny plants starting to pop up though.

Swimming in River Wharfe in summer

It has been so hot recently! We went swimming in the River Wharfe in Ilkley over the weekend, which was plenty cold.

Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough, and Whernside

Yesterday, Claire and Tom finished their first marathon with mountains, Mike his 23rd. Exceptionally well done! Photo above was taken by Grandma and Grandpa Piper in the Yorkshire Dales on a trip around northern England and Scotland in the mid-90s.
